The Application Status page displays the current status of an application submitted online through the CAFÉ system within the past 60 days. If an application you previously submitted online does not display, it may not have been submitted through the CAFÉ system or it may have been submitted more than 60 days ago.
The application # is a unique identifier assigned to each submitted application to track the application.
The status of the application for each individual program within your application displays separately. This is because separate eligibility rules apply to each program. The status options are:
Incomplete - the application has not yet been submitted or is missing information in order to be processed.
Submitted - the application has been submitted and is being sent to a DCFS parish office.
Received - a DCFS parish office has received the application and it is pending DCFS review.
Pending - the application has been reviewed and is pending further action such as receipt of verification documentation.
Approved - the application for benefits or services for the program has been approved. Further benefit details will be communicated by mail.
Denied - the application for benefits or services for the program has been denied. An accompanying denial reason displays with the reason for ineligibility for the program. An application can be approved for other benefits or services even though one program’s application is denied.
Invalid - the application was marked invalid as it is a duplicate application.
Unavailable - the status of the application is currently unavailable.
The Case # column displays the associated case # if the application becomes or is associated to a case.
The Program column displays the associated program.
The Reason column displays the associated denial reason with the application if it was denied.
