Looking for Child Care Assistance?

The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) provides assistance to families to help pay for the child care needed in order to work, or attend school or training and is now provided by the Louisiana Department of Education.

Before you can begin using LA CAFÉ, you will need to create a secure account. Once you have created a secure account, you can:

• Apply online for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP - formerly Food Stamps), the Family Independence Temporary Assistance Program (FITAP), or the Kinship Care Subsidy Program (KCSP), or Child Support Enforcement services
• Check the status of an application that you have recently submitted and your Child Support Enforcement Application Fee payment status
• Submit an Application for Continued Assistance (Redetermination) for SNAP, FITAP, or KCSP
• View information on your SNAP, FITAP, or KCSP benefits or information on your Child Support Enforcement case(s) and payments
• Submit a Simplified Report for SNAP and associated FITAP or KCSP cases
• Report a change to your information that may affect benefits
• Enroll in LaCAP after receiving a letter from DCFS, or re-enroll to continue receiving your LaCAP benefits
• View notifications that may remind you about important information relating to your benefits
• Update your online account information (password, pin, security questions, etc...)

After you create a secure account, you will be taken to your personal account dashboard known as "MyAccount". From here you can Apply for Benefits/Services, check the Status of an Application you have recently submitted and your Child Support Enforcement Application Fee Payment status, continue working on an application that you have saved, submit an Application for Continued Assistance (Redetermination), check your Benefits/Services and information about your Child Support Enforcement payments, submit a Simplified Report, LaCAP Enrollment or Re-Enrollment. You can also view notifications about your Benefits/Services, report changes that may affect your Benefits/Services or update your online account information.

Click on the "Next" button at the bottom of the screen to create an account and start using LA CAFÉ. If you already have a LA CAFÉ account, click here to log in to your account.
